Oh, you're gonna love this....
The tadpoles are strange. I've thought this from the start. Seemed like the wrong time of year for them. They're also extremely small. Much smaller than the few I'd ever seen. And with teeny tiny antennae that have developed in the last day or two.
So I did some research (finally.) And it appears that this is what I have been feeding and giving fresh water to all this time.
Paul kept saying that's what they were, but I didn't think the things could SWIM!
This would be funny, except that Lainee is C.R.U.S.H.E.D.

OH NO!!!!
Ewwwwww! I'm LOL too! Just make sure you don't have West Nile in that bowl! :)
I guess I can say ITYS? I killed two this morning sitting near the water. Now whenever I think I'm right about something I can just say--remember the mosquitoes? I guess it also makes it even funnier that they had a supply of fresh water that we bought for them. We don't even give our children that much good water to bathe in. One more comment--do you still feel like something is on your skin?
Love,
Paul
You're breeding mosquitos?! Bwahahahahaha.
Poor Lainee.
Oh Yuck! Kill them with a vengence while she isn't looking. I abhor mosquitos.

I'm sorry. I know she's crushed. But that's just hysterical. But don't feel TOO embarrassed. My daughter brought me a pretty "bouquet" she'd picked in the woods behind our house. I did what any good mom would do - I put them in a vase of water and proudly displayed them in the living room. My husband came home and asked my why I had a vase full of poison oak sitting on the entertainment center. Mandy and I found out a few hours that he was right.
Somehow, I knew that Heather would find delight in all of this.
I took the kids to the arboretum/gardens today so that Lainee could enjoy seeing some real frogs. She is doing better.
Oooooh Nooooo! That is terrible...but I am laughing. Your poor daughter. What a bummer.
Quick! Get a frog. You've already got something to feed it. I hope they don't eat you first!
I thought there was sometning odd about them. Tell Lainee I love her.
Oh, ugh! I would be itching for days!!! :P
Thanks for the funniest thing I've heard all day! Jane
Bwah ha ha ha! You're right. I love it.
I mean, umm, I'm so sorry.
AAHH!
AAHH!
Is it piling on to say that this was the funniest thing I have heard this month?
It would have been perfect to have been growing them in an old tire, but that would take up quite a bit of space. You could say you were doing research on West Nile.
sorry to laugh, but that it hysterical....almost as good as my friend last month that let her seven year old bring home a 1" turtle from their camping trip. I looked at it and said, "It looks a little like a snapping turtle." My friend said, "Sigh, it is. We didn't know it at the time." Hopefully it won't bite off her daughter's finger before they release it. (I recommended a fresh water lake not too far away.)
Well, obviously you can just disregard the little tadpole feeding tips I just left you.
Hope you smashed those skeeters.
Oh, WHAT a BUMMER.
