Reality is Setting in
The kids have spent the better part of last night and this morning preparing "lemonade." This lemonade consists of a pitcher of water into which they put half of a lemon and stirred it around for a while.
Ms. Boo-6 came to me this morning and asked if I could make a sign that said "A dollar and ten cents for a cup."
The TV table is out in the yard flanked by three lawn chairs.
It's the typical summer undertaking of the average American kid, but the reality is setting in for Ms. Boo. She hasn't sold anything all morning. Unfortunately, for her, she is much more disappointed than the average kid.
You see, she was trying to earn enough money so that her teacher daddy wouldn't have to go back to work.
Very sweet.

Oh my goodness, that brought tears to my eyes. How sweet!
Congrats on the weight loss! Vacation sabotaged mine!
Oh, that's precious.
Sweet.
$1.10! Inflation has gone WAY UP!
What a sweet girl! I'd buy pricey and severely diluted 'lemonade' for that cause. ;-)
What a lovely gesture! I hope she made a few sales, even if it won't allow Dad to stay home forever. :)
Typical American kid? Try typical American capitalist. Selling poorly made products at an inflated price to support her own self interest. Perfect.
It's nice she wants to help out dad, but even Walmart makes charitable contributions. She's on her way to a successful adulthood.
Could it be that, if Daddy goes back to work, she'll have to do ALL THAT HOMESCHOOLING?
That's the sweetest thing I've ever heard. Boo-6 has a kind heart and sweet, sweet nature.
I'm with Addie. I think she should start an online business...maybe sell that recipe for $1.10? =)
Oh, the sweetheart! If I were there, I'd buy the whole pitcher.
That is one very sweet, very loving girl you've got there...
